Meet Tikki, a sweet and gentle spaniel cross! She weighs about 23 lbs and stands roughly 16 inches at the shoulder. We believe Tikki is about 1 year old.
Like many spaniels, Tikki has a naturally kind and soft-hearted nature. She is very people-oriented, affectionate, and deeply loyal. She adores human company, happily snuggles when picked up, and forms bonds quickly. She’s also wonderful with other dogs: playful, friendly, and always excited to make new friends (both two- and four-legged). She is fully house-trained and learns quickly.
You may notice that Tikki has mild, non-progressive tremors. This is a neurological condition called myoclonus, characterized by muscle twitching that can persist after a dog recovers from canine distemper. According to our vet, this condition is not painful and does not worsen over time—Tikki can absolutely live a happy, comfortable life with it. It doesn’t stop her from enjoying affection, play, or everyday adventures.
Tikki is curious and bright, with that classic spaniel curiosity—she loves to see, smell, and explore the world around her. At home, she’s calm and easygoing, happy to settle quietly without causing any fuss. Outside, she is a happy explorer!
She can be a little sensitive to sudden movements, which hints at a tough past, but with a calm and gentle person, she opens up quickly and learns to trust. She’s still polishing her leash skills; in new places, she may pull a bit out of excitement, but she’s learning steadily and responds well to gentle guidance.
Tikki would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a gentle, loyal, intelligent dog with a big heart.
