Meet the people without whom our project would not be possible: travel angels, also known as travel companions. These wonderful volunteers accompany the animals we rescue and help deliver them to their new families around the world.
So, what does it take to become a travel angel? Very little—just the desire to help and a plane ticket booked in your name. Along with your ticket, we arrange a ticket for the cat or dog, either in the cabin or as checked baggage (in the hold). Pet tickets are paid separately and do not count toward your baggage allowance.
We prepare all the necessary documents in the travel angel’s name, making them the pet’s temporary guardian for the duration of the journey. Every pet undergoes a mandatory veterinary checkup: vaccinations and microchips are verified, overall health is assessed, an export certificate is issued, and the international passport is stamped. We take care of all of this for you.
You’ll meet your “furry passenger” for the first time at the airport. Our volunteers assist with check-in or help transfer the carrier to the cabin. Upon arrival, you simply collect the animal from the oversized baggage area. After a brief customs check, you’re greeted by the happy new owners—another dog or cat safely home at last!
As you can see, it’s not difficult at all, and it brings joy to everyone involved.
